The Daviess County Museum is the home of local history in our community. Located in the historic Mason's Lodge on Washington's Main Street, the museum houses high-quality educational exhibits and an extensive research library for genealogists. Admission is free. Contact us for information on group tours and school field trips. 

History


Founded in 1966

The Daviess County Historical Society was founded in 1966 in conjunction with Daviess County's Sesquicentennial celebration. The museum was moved to the former Jefferson School in 1979 and then to its current location in the former Masonic Lodge in 2005.
