Friends of Washington Carnegie Public Library

Friends of the Washington Carnegie Public Library is a nonprofit organization that raises funds and advocates for the library.

The purpose of the Friends is to maintain an association of persons interested in libraries, to focus public attention on the library system and to stimulate the use of the library's resources and services, to receive and encourage gifts, endowments and grants to the library system.

Membership in the association is open to any persons, corporations, or organizations who share in the purposes of the association, upon payment of dues.

Volunteers are always needed. There are a number of ways you can help: stocking and selling books at the twice-yearly book sale....helping box up those books left at the end of the sale....furnishing refreshments at some library functions....attend the monthy meeting of Friends.
